Last updated on OCTOBER 14, 2016

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Ops Center - Version 12C to 12C [Release 12.0]
Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.1.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Goal

To increase the number of CPUs in an Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center Managing the Configuration of a hardware virtualized machine (HVM), created in an Oracle VM Server for x86 system that is placed in a server pool.

The goal is, how to add another vCPU to an existing vServer?

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The steps listed in this Document are meant only for standalone Non Exalogic Virtual environments using Ops Center and they are **not** applicable to Exalogic Virtual Release. Currently vDC resource management (changing vCPU, memory etc.) after a vServer has been created is **not supported** in Exalogic Virtual Environments.
