ACSLS - Inaccessible Cells and Absent Volumes After Making Changes to the Library Partition (Doc ID 1556403.1)

Symptoms

After making changes to the tape library HW partition. an ACS audit in ACSLS showed numerous error messages like these:

2013-05-23 14:52:17 AUDIT[1196]:
au_cel_reconcile(3): Inaccessible cell 0, 2,18,21, 1 - Had incorrect status
= STATUS_CELL_EMPTY

2013-05-23 14:52:17 AUDIT[1196]:
au_cel_reconcile(2): Inaccessible cell 0, 1,18,15, 1 - Had incorrect status
= STATUS_CELL_EMPTY

2013-05-23 14:52:17 AUDIT[1196]:
au_cel_reconcile(3): Inaccessible cell 0, 2,18,22, 1 - Had incorrect status
= STATUS_CELL_EMPTY

2013-05-23 14:52:17 AUDIT[1196]:
au_cel_reconcile(2): Inaccessible cell 0, 1,18,16, 1 - Had incorrect status
= STATUS_CELL_EMPTY


The volumes in the inaccessible cells were flagged "absent" in the ACSLS 'volrpt -i'

Changes

The library was reconfigured.  Any of the following may have happened:

   - The library was un-partitioned - from having two or more partitions to having less number of partitions or no partition. 

   - The library was partitioned - from having no partition to having two or more partitions.
