Solaris Cluster Node Aborts When Offlining Logical Host Resource: "libpnm system error: SIOCLIFREMOVEIF failed.: Address family not supported by protocol family" (Doc ID 1559385.1)

Symptoms

While offlining a  Solaris Cluster resource group the node aborted with:

Apr 17 08:20:24 node2 Cluster.PNM: [ID 544775 daemon.error] libpnm system error: SIOCLIFREMOVEIF failed.: Address family not supported by protocol family
Apr 17 08:20:24 node2 Cluster.PNM: [ID 134411 daemon.error] 192.168.10.109 can't unplumb.
Apr 17 08:20:24 node2 Cluster.PNM: [ID 328113 daemon.error] IPMP logical interface configuration operation failed with <-1
