Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.0 to 5.0 [Release 5.0]
All Platforms

Consider a Secure Global Desktop (SGD) 5.0 server installed on a Solaris 11.1 System with Run Control (rc) Script configured to start SGD services during system boot.

In such a setup, X11 applications would fail to launch as expected via SGD after a reboot of the system.

In other words, users trying to launch X applications from their Webtops would notice that the applications would fail to appear although no errors are seen on screen.  Further investigation will show that SGD has been started from a Run Control (rc) script as shown here:

# /etc/rc3.d/S90sun.com-sgd-base start
