Purpose
Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center (all versions) no longer supports the patching of Red Hat Enterprise Linux TM (all versions). Ops Center will continue to support Oracle Linux without issue. The following Ops Center patching features will no longer be supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux TM:
- Operating system rpm based reports (CVE, Incident, Host Compliance, Distribution Update, Service Pack Compliance, and Package Compliance, Compare Catalog, Change History, Profile Analysis)
- Remotely and Automatically connecting to the Red Hat Network TM with user provided credentials for the pull down of RPM content
- Creation and execution of Update Profiles and Policies based on rpms
- Issuing of new “update OS” actions
- Calling Deploy/Update Software Plans on Red Hat Enterprise Linux TM
- Creation of catalog snapshots
- View/Modify Catalog actions
- RPM Software Library Support within Ops Center
- The uploading and use of local content to the software library under the Red Hat TM distribution channels for either RPMs or files
- Exploration of RPM packages via the Profile Editor or Software Library “content” tab for the Red Hat TM distribution
- Use of any Ops Center Knowledge Metadata via connected or disconnect mode for the the Red Hat TM distribution
