When using Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI),users report that a black screen is displayed when trying to login via the Oracle Virtual Desktop Client.
It is found that the VDI configuration is configured with Smart Card Re-Direction partially disabled as per:
1) From the Sun Ray Server (SRS) Administration console, the following is set:
Advanced (tab) --> Security (tab), un-check (disable) "Internal Smart Card Reader" option.
2) Perform a cold restart of the Sun Ray Server
Either choose the option from the "Server" tab of the SRS Administration console or on the SRS server run the command:
It is noted that the issue was reported against Oracle Virtual Desktop Access Client version 184.108.40.206, but indeed these same symptoms would affect a standard sunray desktop unit also, be it a sun ray 2, 2FS, 3, 3+ or 3i.
