Purpose
This document explain what versions of Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM), Veritas Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) and Veritas File System (VxFS) are qualified, tested and supported on Solaris Cluster.
Furthermore it explains details around the Oracle support and Symantec support of these products.
Scope
Oracle’s support of all Symantec (Veritas) products ended effective December 31, 2012. Due to the termination of Oracle's OEM relationship with Symantec, Oracle will not be permitted to provide any technical support on any Symantec/Veritas products; Storage Foundation, NetBackup and Veritas Cluster Volume Manager.
That means, that we can only check and analyse the Oracle components for your query. All VxVM/VxFS issues need to be reported to Symantec Support.
