Goal
THIS DOCUMENT ANSWERS CUSTOMER'S SPECIFIC QUESTION ABOUT SENDMAIL.CF FILE.
QUESTION:On Solaris 11 the sendmail.cf is in service/network/smtp/sendmail FMRI is set to preserve=renameold quote from manifest:
file 6cdae982752dd73ddcf09c758f4e1499aeb31403 chash=9490045f097f8e26833502ae33e670257d276676 group=bin mode=0444 original_name=SUNWsndm:etc/mail/sendmail.cf owner=root path=etc/mail/sendmail.cf pkg.csize=12439 pkg.size=40116 preserve=renameold
I don't see any reason why this should be done. This forces manual intervention after reboot. I though the Statement for Solaris 11 was to minimize downtime.
