Login To Sun Ray Web Admin Console Fails With Error: "Authentication Failed. One or more of your inputs is wrong"

(Doc ID 1575075.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2017

Applies to:

Sun Ray Software - Version SRS 5.2.6 to SRS 5.4.4 [Release 5.0]
Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Version 3.3.2 to 3.5.3 [Release 3.0]
Linux x86-64
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

Administrators of Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) versions 3.5.x, 3.4.1 or 3.3.2 deployments find that after appying a supported Sun Ray Server (SRS) Maintaintence update, attempts to login to the SRS Web Admin Console will fail with messages like the following:

Error: Authentication Failed. One or more of your inputs is wrong.

Once in this state, restarting SRS or rebooting the server has no effect.   Meanwhile, the VDI Administrator will still be able to log into, and use, the VDI Administration Console.

Sun Ray Server Software has been upgraded with a VDI deployment using a support maintenance update, as per MOS Doc ID#1602752.1
