This issue appeared on Solaris 10 U11 and Solaris 11.1 SRU 9.5a. Solaris 11 11/11 and lower versions of Solaris11.1 are not affected
Symptoms
After upgrading a Solaris 11 server to to Solaris 11.1 SRU 11.1.8.4.0, or Solaris 10 to Solaris 11, dictionary filtering for passwords is rejecting all passwords, when dictionary is based on /usr/share/lib/dict/words
Changes
Upgrade Solaris 10 to U11 or Solaris 11 to Solaris 11.1 SRU 11.1.8.4.0
