Solaris Cluster How to Prevent the JES-installer of Cluster from Overwriting the Ops-Center (OC) SUNWjavadb Packages (Doc ID 1581310.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 14, 2020

Applies to:

Solaris Cluster - Version 3.2 to 3.3 U2 [Release 3.2 to 3.3]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

Symptoms

Ops-Center (OC) stops working properly.

The scn-agent smf service used by OC:

  svc:/application/management/common-agent-container-1:scn-agent

may fail to start and go into maintenance. In this particular case, OC was installed in the Control Domain (CDOM) and in the Guest Domain (LDOM). The scn-agent went into maintenance in the CDOM.

Changes

OSC 3.2_u2 was installed in the LDOM after Ops-Center 12c was installed/configured.
