Purpose

This document is about reclaiming the 4th hard disk on an X2-2 Exadata database (compute) server.

The procedure would be identical for an X3-2 database server.

This may be required after upgrading the Exadata image or after re-imaging the compute node.

It also shows how to use the newly acquired space to increase the size of an existing file system (/u01) and create a new file system (/u02).
