Symptoms

During an up grade or initial

"...We used the ODA Config Manager from my desktop to create a configuration file to use for deploying. 
     However, after reviewing the command to deploy the ODA_BASE I got the following error:

Unable to create device maps from partition tables

  

 

 

Configuration information
device-mapper: resume ioctl failed: Invalid argument   <<<<<<
create/reload failed on loop0p2
INFO: Deployment in local mode
INFO: Extracted the image files on node 0
INFO: The VM Configuration data is written to /OVS/Repositories/odabaseRepo/VirtualMachines/oakDom1/vm.cfg file
INFO: Running /sbin/losetup /dev/loop0 /OVS/Repositories/odabaseRepo/VirtualMachines/oakDom1/System.img command to mount the image file
INFO: Mount is successfully completed on /dev/loop0
ERROR: Unable to create device maps from partition tables
ERROR: Unable to do ssh to deployment node 0

 

Changes

 Install 2.7 OracleVM or upgrade OracleVM from 2.6 to 2.7
