Symptoms

Solaris 10 Samba Server using ADS security mode had users unable to successfully authenticate to access Samba shares.

Winbind commands such as the wbinfo commands shown would return the error WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND

wbinfo -u

wbinfo --user-info=domain\\username

wbinfo -i domain\\username

failed to call wbcGetpwnam: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND
Could not get info for user domain\username

One of the Samba winbindd logs reported timeout messages. The log file is named log.wb-DOMAIN

"DOMAIN" will be the ADS DOMAIN that the Samba Server has joined
