Symptoms

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrators may find that attempts to add a host to an existing desktop provider will generate an error and fail.

While troubleshooting this issue, the Administrator may review the system's cacao logs ( /var/cacao/instances/vda/logs/cacao.* on Solaris), and find messages such as the following:

at com.sun.vda.service.adapter..VBDesktopProviderAdapter.addStorage(VBoxDesktopProviderAdapter.java:345)

Changes

 Ths behavior is seen only when attempting to add a new host to an existing desktop provider.
