Solaris Users Report Incorrect Key Mapping in Applications Provisioned from Secure Global Desktop

(Doc ID 1594988.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 4.7 to 5.0 [Release 4.0 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Users connecting to Secure Global Desktop (SGD) version 4.7 (or later) from a Sparc Solaris client may report strange keyboard mappings with applications provisioned from SGD.

In one manifestation of this behavior, users pressing the Hyphen/Dash key ("-") at the client will see the remote application render a slash character ("/") instead.

Note: this behavior is not seen when the same users connect from a non-Sparc Solaris client.

The user is connecting from a new (Sparc Solaris) client, or, the SGD host has recently been upgraded to Secure Global Desktop, version 4.7 or later.
