Brocade 7800 Extension Switch:FCIP Tunnel Going Down Frequently And Replication Is Failing (Doc ID 1599643.1)

Symptoms

There is a potential performance impact with FCIP circuits on Fabric operating System (FOS) versions v6.4.0 to v6.4.1 on 7800/FX8-24 platforms.

The performance can be impacted due to a limited throughput following a reboot or WAN issue.

Risk of occurrence is greatly increased with IPsec enabled circuits. 

The issue only occurs during establishment of a FCIP circuit when the TCP window size drops significantly, limiting throughput.

You will see messages similar to these in the errdump output:

2013/11/07-03:50:20, [XTUN-2005], 3661, CHASSIS, ERROR, Brocade7800, FCIP Tunnel 16 Low-Pri QoS DOWN (Internal Close).
2013/11/07-03:50:20, [XTUN-2003], 3662, CHASSIS, ERROR, Brocade7800, FCIP Tunnel 16 Circuit 0 DOWN (Admin Disable).
