Symptoms

Firmware upgrade for Hitachi 300Gb SAS Disk model HUS1530SCSUN300G from A6C0 to A700 using Common Array Manager, (CAM) BUI version 6.9.0.20 fails with the following error:

This problem occurs

On Solaris Sparc with CAM Patches 147416-02 and 147660-05 installed.
On Solaris X86 with CAM Patches 147419-02 and 147660-05 installed.
