With OpenSSL 1.0.1,KSSL Causes ERR_SSL_BAD_RECORD_MAC_ALERT In Google Chrome

Symptoms

With OpenSSL 1.0.1,Google Chrome is generating an ERR_SSL_BAD_RECORD_MAC_ALERT error for any page that user is  serving using the KSSL kernel SSL accelerator. It does not generate the error when user goes straight to an SSL web server.

Detail of the issue:

(check that you have at least 1.0.1.


The verbiage the Chrome engineer provided was "Any TLS 1.1 or 1.2 ClientHello results in bad_record_mac fatal alert after the server has received the client's Finished message."
