The usermod(1M) command may fail and display the message "LDAP configuration problem" when using the option "-S ldap".
In Solaris version 11 the usermod command provides the new option -S [repository], where the repository may be either files or ldap.
To use the repository ldap in this option, the LDAP Name Service client needs to be configured to make use of the enableShadowUpdate feature in combination with the Distinguished Name and password of an administrative account in LDAP.
