Sun Ray Server 5.4 Screensaver And Monitor Power Savings Mode Are Not Activating (Doc ID 1624415.1)

Symptoms

When using Sun Ray Server (SRS) 5.4.x and attempting to active the Gnome-screensaver in a session from a Sun Ray Client, it is not able to be activated.  In addition, monitors do not enter power-saving mode (i.e. always stay on).

In /var/log/message, the following message is seen:

 

gnome-session[3973]: WARNING: GSIdleMonitor: IDLETIME counter not found
