Symptoms

An error occurs when logging into the SLConsole GUI.

After entering username/password and clicking the Log on button , the following messages are displayed listed in the progress window:

Establishing the library connection and authenticating the user
Reading library configuration
Initializing SLConsole screens

At this point, a pop-up is displayed:

"A system activity got an unexpected error. You MUST log off, verify connectivity and log on again."

After pressing OK, the console gui becomes unresponsive, and the following comm status indication in the bottom right hand corner of the SLConsole window switches from green to a red "!" Comm Status and the following message pops up:

 

"The connection to the library has been lost.  You MUST log off and the log back on to restore the connection."
