"Couldn't start Secure Global Desktop services: unable to resolve bindings" Message Is Displayed When Starting Secure Global Desktop

After a Secure Global Desktop (SGD) administrator has specified the external bind names/addresses in Secure Global Desktop, by setting the value of the "tarantella-config-server-bindaddresses-external" attribute using "tarantella config edit", the Secure Global Desktop server fails to start correctly following a "tarantella start", and an error containing a message of the form:
The server is unable to run as it cannot identify all of the network interfaces
that it is configured to bind to port <PORT> on.
WHERE "<NAMES>" is a name or names and "<PORT>" is a port, is displayed during startup. A command similar to:
... had been used to try to set the "tarantella-config-server-bindaddresses-external" attribute.
