Last updated on APRIL 25, 2017

Applies to:

Sun Ray Software - Version SRS 5.4.1 to SRS 5.4.2 [Release 5.0]
Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Version 3.5 to 3.5.3 [Release 3.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Users report that when using Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) 3.5 or Sun Ray Server (SRS) 5.4.1 and connecting Sun Ray clients to supported Windows Desktops, after awhile, audio will stop. i.e the Windows session initially starts out with sound and then no longer emits any sound.

If the Sun Ray client is power cycled, and the session reconnected, the sound will come back.

NOTE: The problem is only observed in RDS sessions, it is not when connecting to virtualized Windows Desktops provided by VirtualBox.
