Purpose

Replication allows the ZFS Storage Appliance(ZFSSA) to move data between appliances and then incrementally update the data between the source appliance and destination appliance indefinitely.

When designing replication layouts there are a number of things that must be considered.

This document explains key considerations which must be taken into account when laying out replication.

 

Scope

 This document is meant to provide a checklist of items to be considered by storage administrators as they setup replication on a ZFSSA.
