Previous versions of Oracle's Secure Global Desktop (SGD) for Linux were packaged using RPM package format, allowing installations in directories other than the default install location, /opt/tarantella. e.g.
The Release Notes for SGD 5.1 and later announced the deprecation of the previous rpm package format, which will complicate the upgrade of previous versions, installed in a non-default directory.
This article provides guidance on how to continue upgrading from a non-default directory on Linux 6 systems.
