STA Database Stopped And Will Not Start (Doc ID 1636730.1)

Customer is running a new installation of the current latest version 1.02 of STA. The installation went ok but the STA database quit running for no apparent reason. The customer tried to restart it and even tried to reboot the STA server but the STA DB still would not start.

Symptoms

STA database will not start.

Changes

New installation of STA 1.02.  The installation went well and STA was working then stopped for no apparent reason.  

Status showed:

-bash-3.2$ STA status
STA Database Server is stopped
STA Database Services Daemon (staservd) is running
Weblogic Domain Administration Server is running
WebLogic staServer is running
