Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Version 3.5 to 3.5 [Release 3.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Consider an Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) version 3.5 setup comprising Oracle VM VirtualBox (VBox) as the Desktop Provider hostng Windows Desktops and is configured to use authentication via Smart Cards, and the Desktop Screen Lock for Sun Ray Clients ("clientscreenlock") configuration option enabled.

If a user initiates a connection and then removes and re-inserts the smart card, the unlock screen will be displayed.  When the user then enters authentication credentials, the Windows session is established, but without the correct domain credentials passed through to the desktop session.

As a result, the Windows desktop session may indicate that the wrong username or password has been provided.
