This document is provided as a supplement to official documentation distributed within the Exalogic Patch Set Update (PSU) README files and it is released part of the following Exalogic April 2014 PSU Release: Document ID : 1638834.1 - Exalogic Patch Set Update (PSU) Release v2. (Linux - Physical - Exalogic X2-2, X3-2) for April 2014

This document is only to be used within the standard Exalogic PSU patching procedure as it provides further illustration and explanation on the sequence of steps that should be followed to upgrade Compute Node in Exalogic Physical Systems.

Important Note:

Exalogic components are not meant to be patched independently. The steps provided in this document, should be applied part of the whole Exalogic System PSU upgrade, and to be used only part of the April 2014 PSU Release for:Document ID : 1638835.1 - Exalogic April 2014 PSU - (Linux - Physical - Exalogic X2-2, X3-2) Infrastructure Upgrade Guide . Follow the component upgrade order as laid in the section Road map of tasks undertaken during the Patch Set Update Process, then patch Compute Node as explained in this document.


This document may be followed to apply:
Oracle's recommendation is that Patch Set Upgrades should only be performed by qualified and experienced personnel, such as resources available through Oracle Advanced Customer Support Services. Upgrade services are available from Oracle Advanced Customer Services via the Oracle Exalogic Quarterly Patch Deployment Service component of the Oracle Exalogic Start-Up Pack service offering.
