Symptoms

When the issue described in this document is present, some snapshots will not be accessible under ./zfs/snapshot.

 

Changes

The issue is triggered by scripts that create recursive snapshots and rename old snapshots in a tight loop, withough any sleep(n) statements.  The issue may present itself at any time during the 'zfs rename' operation.
