Symptoms
Systems with mirrored Operating System Disks (UFS or ZFS) may hang or take a very long time to boot. The console will show either retryable or fatal errors to one of the disks, eg:
Use 'metadetach d0 d2' to detach the bad device from the mirror. Once it has been physically replace it can be put back in to the mirror. Exact steps are beyond the scope of this document.
