Symptoms

 On systems with a large number of LUNs, zpool(1M) may fail with 'Too many open files', eg:

Note:  The library, libefi.so.1, and/or symbol, efi_alloc_and_read, may be different in each case.  The important part of the message is 'Too many open files'
