This document is relevant to environments running SMC with IDAX POLICY(ON).
Symptoms
Job hangs after a dynamic allocation.
SMC is running with IDAX POLICY(ON).
A DB2 region hangs up because of this issue.
Jobs taking SVC dumps during what appears to be allocation.
Jobs experience delays.
Some jobs that are hung get this message in the SMC log: SMC0174 ASCOMM ACK TIMEOUT
