ACSLS - Unable To Install ACSLS 8.3 in a Solaris 11.1 Zone (Doc ID 1666510.1)

Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

Unable to install ACSLS 8.3 in a Solaris zone
Solaris 11.1 SPARC with ZFS server

Installation failed with following status:

Installing the ACSLS Database....
   Which file system will be used to store database backups? [/export/backup]?
   Backup directory: /export/backup :. Is this correct? (y or n): y

   Back up directory is: /export/backup
   Removing prior /export/backup/lock ...
   Checking if the ACSLS database is installed...
   Initializing Database Server ...
   ACSLS database server started...
   Database 'acsdb' created
   Database user 'acsss' created
   Database user 'acssa' created
   Database schema 'acsss' created.
./start_acsdb.sh: line 223:  8870 Killed                  $ACSDBDIR/bin/odbcinst -i -d -v -f $TEMPLATE_ETC > /dev/null 2>&1
   Error while installing the database driver!
   Error while starting the database server
install.sh 2208: Error: ACSLS database installation failed.   Exiting.
