Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

All Oracle Exalytic servers include the foundation products of Oracle Linux operating system, TimesTen (TT) In-Memory Database and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).  Commencing with Exalytics PatchSet (PS) 1, optional software components (such as EPM and Endeca) may also be installed. This document provides general information on ports that are used during the software installation.  These ports must be opened (and not blocked by firewalls, or other configuration settings) during the software installation.

Scope

This document is intended for system administrators, or developers, who may be involved in software installation, maintenance or upgrade on an Exalytics server.  It is intended to serve as a reference guide for typical ports that must remain open during install/patch/maintenance activities.
