How to stop DNS lookups of sendmail MX records (Doc ID 1672348.1)

Goal

In a DNS environment where there is an MX record for "mailhost":
sendmail will attempt to use "mailhost", even if a "SMARTHOST" has been configured for "DS" in /etc/sendmail.cf.
