This document provides step-by-step instructions for upgrading from Oracle Database and Oracle Grid Infrastructure release 11.2.0.3 BP8 and later to 11.2.0.4 on Oracle SuperCluster.

| Install and Upgrade Grid Infrastructure to 11.2.0.4 |
| Create a snapshot based backup of the database server partitions |
| Create the new Grid Infrastructure (GI_HOME) directory where 11.2.0.4 will be installed |
| Prepare installation software |
| Perform the 11.2.0.4 Grid Infrastructure software installation and upgrade using the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) |
