The Exalytics Capacity on Demand (COD) is available for Exalytics "X" series servers running on bare metal with Patchset Release (PS5) and above (including Release 184.108.40.206.0 and 220.127.116.11.0). This feature allows you to configure the number of active core processors on the Exalytics Machine. This document provides links to the configuration steps for the COD feature.
Capacity on demand is available on Exalytics servers running PS5 and higher. The Exalytics Capacity on Demand Utility may be used to configure active core processors on a non-virtualized Exalytics Machine only. This utility is not available on an Exalytics Machine configured for virtualization. This document is intended for Exalytics system administrators and requires experience with the ILOM interface and Linux operating system.
