Secure Global Desktop HTML5 Client Hangs At "Loading..." When Launching Application Through Gateway
(Doc ID 1928795.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 12, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.1 to 5.4 [Release 5.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Launch applications in an environment with Secure Global Desktop (SGD) server(s) and SGD Gateway are installed (on separate servers) and all servers are patched with the latest SGD Patch Set Updates (PSU) e.g for SGD 5.3:
Patch Set Updates for Secure Global Desktop 5.3 Document 2255450.1
Patch Set Updates for the Secure Global Desktop Gateway, Version 5.3 <Document 2255460.1>
When connecting to the environment from a supported browser using the TCC client as per:
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E88357_01/E88359/html/user-login.html
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E88357_01/E88358/html/reqs-client.html
everything works fine but, when using the HMTL5 client, login is fine but, launching any application results in it hanging at the "Loading client.." screen.
The connections from the HTML5 client to the SGD server (via the Gateway) are secure.
Viewing the SGD logs files in default Log Directory (/opt/tarantella/var/log), an example of the following maybe seen:
Oracle Secure Global Desktop(5.1) ERROR:
Client reconnect timeout has expired. Killing H5C-1408716230808.
The current launch has failed.
Check the Proxy Server logs for client reconnect.
