Applies to:
Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 4.1 to 9.0.4 [Release 4.0 to 9.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
If xDR builders license has expired on IXP server running the sessions, following issues/symptoms will be observed:
- Sessions on IXP server will stop updating
- IxpBuild log shows error about unknown builder ID during startup sequence
- System alarm shows a critical alarm about close license expiry: TKPIC25053: IXP: Close license expiry
If going to replace any IXP server in a IXP subsystem, the license on new server will become invalid and there will be a need to apply for new license for complete IXP susbsystem. Before replacing the server with new one shift the sessions created on server to be replaced on any other server in the same IXP subsystem through NSP GUI-->> CCM -->> MEDIATION-->> DISTRIBUTION, as old license will remain valid on other servers till we install new license on complete IXP subsystem.
Changes
If we have replaced one or more servers in any IXP subsystem, there is need to apply for new license, as the existing license becomes invalid for new servers. Sessions will stop updating on new servers if not shifted on other server in same IXP subsytem before replacing the server.
