Information in this document applies to any platform.
In this scenario, Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure 3.5 is using Oracle VirtualBox as the Desktop Provider and Sun ZFS Storage Appliance (ZFSSA) for storage. When a Desktop template is updated, the new template will fail to get copied to storage properly. The cacao.0 log file will show messages like this:
Synchronizing '<template name>', Revision '<template name> <Revision #>'
results in Error copying volume to new storage: File copy failed
for server <storage server>.
WHERE <template name> is the name of template
<storage server> is the name of the storage server
NOTE: cacao.0 log file is stored by default (on the VDI server) in:
Oracle Solaris platforms: /var/cacao/instances/vda/logs
Oracle Linux platforms: /var/opt/sun/cacao2/instances/vda/logs
