Solaris Volume Manager (SVM) Commands 'metaset' and 'metastat' Fails with Error "side information missing for host" (Doc ID 1949588.1)

Sun Solaris Volume Manager (SVM) - Version 11.10.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

Symptoms

When running Solaris Volume Manager (SVM) 'metaset' or 'metastat -s <setname>' command with any arguments it will display an error "side information missing for host". 

Example:

The hostname listed can be either one of the Solaris Cluster nodes including the node the command is running on.  The diskset might be imported and metadevices may have active and working metadevices with mounted UFS filesystems. However metaset can not be taken, released, status printed etc.
