Symptoms

Users running Apple OSX 10.9.x (Mavericks) with Safari 7.x web browsers may fail to log into Oracle Secure Global Desktop (SGD) correctly. The SGD user will successfully authenticate, but the SGD “LOADING...” splash screen displays indefinitely and never executes the SGD Java applet required to download and/or launch the SGD client component. The SGD browser workspace is never loaded and no errors appear on the screen to indicate what the problem might be.
