Oracle Secure Global Desktop Client Hangs at Loading Screen After Update to Java 8 u31

After client is upgraded to Java 8 u31, when the user attempts to login to an Oracle Secure Global Desktop (SGD), the login authenticates but then hangs at the loading screen rather than generating a Workspace (Webtop) for the user.
