Notes:
  • When upgrading from a version older then XCP1050, you must first upgrade to an interim version of XCP between 1050 and 1070, inclusive
  • Use the deleteuser command to delete any accounts named admin prior to updating to XCP 1050 or later; the admin account name is reserved starting in XCP 1050
  • If your M8000/M9000 server is running firmware older than XCP1082, execute the rebootxscf(8) command from the Active XSCF to reset both the Active and the Standby XSCF before upgrading to this XCP release
  • Although upgrading XCP Firmware from CLI is the preferred method, it's possible to upgrade from the BUI : Menu / Utilities / Firmware Update.

 

Before starting the firmware update procedure, obtain the latest XCP firmware by downloading the appropriate patch to a location that is network-connected with the XSCF unit.  At the time of writing this document, the latest version is  XCP1123:
