When adding an additional Processor Module (PM) the system might automatically reconfigure the I/O paths to make use of the additional root complexes associated with the new board. The reconfigurations of the I/O path can happen if the ILOM IO Reconfigure Property 'ioreconfigure' is set to true
true – When enabled, Oracle ILOM will check and reconfigure, if necessary, the I/O paths each time the server SP or PDomain is powered on or reset.
This will impact Oracle VM/LDom configurations where PCIe root complexes are assigned to secondary root domains.
The following procedure details how to prepare and then recover Oracle VM configurations with secondary root domains on SPARC T4-4 when upgrading from one Processor Module (PM) to two.
