Oracle HSM: Release 6.0 is Now Available (Doc ID 1986563.1)

Details

The Oracle HSM 6.0 base release (build id 6.0.1) is no longer available on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

See <Document 2041298.1> for the Oracle HSM 6.0-01 patch release (August 2015). 


The current Oracle HSM (SAM-QFS) release, as of August 2020, is the HSM 6.1-05 release.  Please consider upgrading to this latest release.  Reference Document 2700396.1 for details.

  

Actions

If the initial 6.0 base release is required for some reason, please open an SR and request that it be uploaded to the SR from HSM Engineering.

For best practices prior and during a SAM-QFS upgrade, reference Document 1538209.1.

For assistance in installing the 6.0 release, reference the Oracle Hierarchical Storage Manager and StorageTek QFS Software Installation and Configuration Guide Release 6.0

NOTE: The Oracle HSM 6.0 release is the initial release used to re-brand the product name from SAM-QFS to Oracle HSM.  The functionality of Oracle HSM 6.0 release is identical to that of SAM-QFS 5.4-02 release.
