Symptoms

Sendmail message "Connection refused by 127.0.0.1" on the local server when the customer is attempting to send mail.   For example:

 

 

Changes

The functionality of sendmail was modified from default by the creation of the /etc/default/sendmail file to control the mode option sendmail will use on startup.
