Cfgadm Hung or Takes Too Much Time to Unconfigure The Last Disk Storage Controller - Waiting for rcm_daemon (Doc ID 1990979.1)

Symptoms

Solaris 10 T4-4 server, with two Oracle FC HBA Dual port,
four ports connected to the SAN to access an Hitachi VSP arrays,
Hitachi VSP-A (old), to be unconfigured --> 195 LUNs mapped, four paths to the storage under mpxio


Customer want to unmap these 195 LUNs using Storage Navigator to remove the lun mappings from the host,
they can follow these document that describes how this can be done live:

But they are afraid of having an issue when unmapping the LUNs,
and they prefer to unconfigure first the four controllers with cfgadm, so for each path under mpxio :
