After Patching To Exalogic Virtual PSU Unable To See MAC addresses for Guest vServer EoIB Interfaces in the EMOC BUI

You have an Exalogic System deployed in a virtual configuration that you have recently patched to Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software (EECS) version Since patching, when you navigate within the Enterprise Manager OpsCenter (EMOC) Browser User Interface (BUI) and select the icon of  a guest vServer under the vDC Management accordion panel, in the Network tab of the main display pane the BUI no longer display the MAC address for network bonds associated with EoIB networks:

  • While the MAC address for EoIB networks are missing, the long MAC address for IPoIB networks is not expected to be displayed in this view of the EMOC BUI.


In addition, within the cacao.N log files (/var/opt/sun/cacao2/instances/scn-proxy/logs/cacao.*) for either ProxyController vServer (ExalogicControlOpsCenterPC1 and ExalogicControlOpsCenterPC2) you see many repetitions of the following exception:
